Portraiture

Portraiture has been the focal point of my artistic journey, presenting both challenges and fascination. The โ€œPortraitureโ€ series explores the intricate details of each facial muscle, including length, thickness, orientation, location, and tension. Influenced by renowned Fauvist A-Sun Wu and favorite artists such as Egon Schiele, Jim Dine, and Kathe Kollwitz, my work in this series leans towards expressiveness. It delves into the complexity of human emotions, arranging individual muscles to portray a range of feelings, from sadness and happiness to surprise and movement. This series offers a fresh perspective on portrait making, breaking with tradition to explore new avenues in the realm of facial expression and body movements.
